Meet Sasha - The Visionary & Woman Behind the Lens
Sherbet Birdie was founded in 2006 by Sasha, a former Art Director who left the publishing world after confronting the unrealistic beauty standards she had unknowingly helped uphold. Determined to create change, she built Sherbet Birdie as a loving, creative space where all humans — regardless of size, age, gender or background — could feel truly seen, celebrated, and empowered.
Alongside her incredible team, Dianne and Marija, Sasha has helped over 2,000 clients reconnect with their confidence, self-expression, and joy through editorial-style photo shoots that are as nurturing as they are magical. At Sherbet Birdie, it’s not about fitting in — it’s about coming home to yourself.
Meet Marija - Retoucher & Creative All-Rounder
Marija is a multi-talented artist with over 15 years of experience in hair, makeup, and creative direction. With a background in fashion, bridal, film, and body painting — and the title of Bobbi Brown Artist of the Year in 2014 — her work has been featured in both print and television.
Since joining Sherbet Birdie full-time in 2017, Marija has expanded her artistry into set design, props, costuming, and now serves as our full-time retoucher. Her eye for detail ensures every image is polished to perfection — a lasting reminder to each client that they are beautiful, worthy, and truly celebrated.
Meet Dianne - Vintage Hair & Makeup Specialist & Set Assistant
Dianne is a highly skilled Hair & Makeup Artist with over a decade of experience and a love for vintage and pinup styling. With a background in musical theatre, film, and plus-size modelling, she brings both creative flair and deep empathy to every shoot.
From wig styling and set building to special effects makeup, her talents are as versatile as they are heartfelt. Dianne’s passion lies in helping clients feel confident, seen, and radiant while sharing her love for all things vintage along the way.
She also lovingly captures behind-the-scenes moments during shoots, creating warm, candid content that highlights the joy and artistry behind the scenes.

Our curated wardrobe includes everything from detailed corsetry and couture gowns to hand-embroidered pieces, sculptural costumes, and statement accessories. All size-inclusive (AU 6–26) and styled to help you feel your most confident, comfortable, and radiant.
