From Kitchenette to Kingdom: The Evolution of Sherbet Birdie

Sherbet Birdie’s transformation, from a single dream to a studio that’s changed thousands of lives.

When Sherbet Birdie first came to life, it looked a little different to the velvet-draped, mirror-filled wonderland you know today.

Back then, it was a modest inner-city apartment with a makeshift wardrobe, a kitchen bench doubling as a makeup station, and a dream that felt far bigger than the four walls that contained it.

There was no studio lighting. No custom-built sets. No antique mirrors or glittering flower canopies. Just Sasha, a camera, and an unwavering belief:
That every woman deserved to feel powerful and beautiful exactly as she is.

The early days were all about making do—pinning up bedsheets as backdrops, styling with what we could thrift or sew by hand, transforming clients in the kitchen between kettles and cooktops. And yet, something magical happened:
People started to feel seen.
They came in nervous and left radiant.
They cried happy tears.
They booked again. And again.

Over the years, that dream outgrew its tiny apartment shell. Piece by piece, Sherbet Birdie became a full studio—a creative sanctuary designed entirely in-house by women, for women.

Today, the space is filled with velvet lounges, handmade props, themed sets, costume racks, chandeliers, champagne glasses, and handpicked blooms. And yes, Sasha is still there, styling, directing, and gently reminding every person who walks through the door:
You are enough, just as you are.
