Night Court Update: We’re So Close! ✨🦇

We are officially just a little over a week away from bringing our Night Court shoot to life, and behind the scenes has been an absolute whirlwind of creativity, problem solving, and a whole lot of glue, paint, and late nights.

Sasha has been absolutely smashing it on the set build, spending countless hours both at home and in the studio sewing, embellishing, and transforming raw materials into something truly magical. She’s also been hard at work constructing the backdrop and reworking piles of polystyrene into towering columns worthy of Prythian itself.

Not everything has gone exactly to plan tho, we didn’t receive all the correct cuts of polystyrene we originally designed around, so there has been a lot of reconfiguring and adapting along the way. But honestly, that’s part of the magic of creating something from scratch. We’ve persevered, adjusted, and kept pushing forward to make this set as immersive and breathtaking as possible.

Meanwhile Marija has been deep in the details, bringing the costume pieces and props to life. The bat wings are well underway, with carefully sculpted bone structures and layered materials creating that dramatic Night Court silhouette. She’s also been focusing on the finer finishing touches, from the bow and arrow props to capelets and the final detailing on the corsets.

Dianne has been painting up a storm, transforming plain white poly pieces into realistic stone and wood textures through layers of shading and detail work. Watching blank materials slowly become ancient architecture has honestly been one of the most satisfying parts of the process.

One thing we truly love about creating these fantasy shoots is how collaborative everything becomes. We all cross over on skills constantly, so whenever one person needs help, there is always someone jumping in to assist. Every part of this set has had multiple hands, ideas, and creative minds poured into it.

We’ve pushed ourselves incredibly hard to get everything completed in time for the deadline, and it’s finally starting to feel real because our very first Night Court client arrives on May 21st!
